This Fair Play & Anti-Cheat Policy defines what constitutes fair participation, outlines cheating behaviors, explains detection methods, and sets out penalties for violations.
This document ensures equal chances for all participants and protects the integrity of Motiw8 competitions.
2. Core Fair Play Principles
- Honesty in all submissions
- Authenticity of identity
- Authenticity of evidence (photos/videos)
- No manipulation of weights or steps
- No third-party assistance
- One account per person
- Accurate data, no falsifications
3. Prohibited Behaviors — Weight Manipulation
Includes but is not limited to:
3.1 Hydration Manipulation
- Rapid dehydration
- Water loading then dehydration
- Diuretics use
- Sauna/steam acute drops
3.2 Clothing/Scale Manipulation
- Leaning on objects
- Offloading weight
- Altering scale calibration
- Using hidden weights for baseline
- Standing partially off scale
3.3 Object Effects
- Pulling ceiling/railings
- Lifting body using furniture
- Placing objects under feet
4. Prohibited Evidence Manipulation
4.1 Photo/Video Editing
- Cropping out key identifiers
- Deepfakes
- AI-generated images
- Photoshop or filters altering authenticity
- Retouching scale numbers
4.2 Reusing Old Evidence
- Re-using previous submissions
- Using someone else's photos
- Recycling stock footage
4.3 Metadata Tampering
- Editing EXIF data
- Altering device clock
- Modifying file hashes
4.4 Timestamp Fraud
- Showing incorrect date
- Screenshot editing
- External timestamp generators

5.1 Artificial Step Inflation
- Shaking phone
- Treadmill without proper step detection

- Attaching device to objects (fans, pets, etc.)

- Manual data injections (not permitted)
- Imported step datasets

7. Penalties
7.1 Minor Violations

- Payout blockage pending KYC
- Permanent ban
7.4 Fraud/Abuse Confirmed

8. Repeat Violations
Repeat offenders will receive escalating penalties:
- Warning
- Challenge bans
- Permanent ban
9. Appeals
Appeals. If you disagree with a decision about your submission, your qualification, or your placement, you can appeal. Email support@motiw8.com within 30 days of the day we notify you of the decision. Tell us which decision you are appealing and why, and attach anything you think supports your case.
Wherever it is practical, your appeal will be reviewed by someone other than the person who made the original decision. We will give you a reasoned answer in writing within 14 days, and we will tell you what evidence we relied on.
Our answer is our final word in our own process. It does not affect your legal rights. If you are not satisfied you can take the matter to the State Consumer Rights Protection Authority (Valstybinė vartotojų teisių apsaugos tarnyba, vvtat.lt), which handles consumer disputes out of court free of charge, or to a court. Nothing in these rules limits those rights.
