1. Overview
This Subscription & Billing Terms document governs the use of Motiw8's subscription-based features, including:
- Premium subscription
- Unlimited challenge creation
- 0% platform fee
- Premium scoring
- Premium evaluation challenges
- Enhanced statistics
- Priority verification
All subscriptions are handled by RevenueCat, which integrates with Apple and Google billing systems.
2. Subscription Purchases
Subscriptions must be purchased through:
- Apple App Store (iOS users)
- Google Play Store (Android users)
Payments cannot be made directly through the website.
3. Billing Terms
3.1 Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
3.2 Payment Processing
Payment is handled by:
- Apple (iOS)
- Google (Android)
Motiw8 never stores or processes card data.
3.3 Subscription Plans
Plans may include:
- Monthly
- Annual
- Promotional offers
Prices may vary by region due to VAT or currency differences.
4. Cancellation Policy
You can cancel your subscription at any time via:
- App Store → Subscriptions
- Google Play → Subscriptions
Motiw8 cannot cancel subscriptions on your behalf.
Canceling stops future renewals but does not refund previous charges.
5. Refunds
Refunds for subscription payments are governed by:
- Apple App Store refund policies
- Google Play refund policies
Users must request refunds directly from Apple or Google.
Motiw8 cannot issue refunds for App Store/Google Play purchases.
6. Changes to Subscription Pricing
We may modify:
- Subscription pricing
- Benefits
- Tiers
- Features
Users will receive advance notice through the App Store/Google Play Store.
7. Subscription Entitlements
Premium subscribers receive:
- 0% platform fee
- Access to premium evaluation challenges
- Bonus points for consistency
- Unlimited challenge creation
- Priority verification
- Faster payouts (where possible)
- Premium analytics and insights
Premium is tied to the RevenueCat App User ID and cannot be transferred.
8. Downgrading / Expiration
When a subscription expires:
- Platform fee returns to 10%
- Premium-only features become unavailable
- Access to active premium-only challenges may be revoked
- Premium scoring is disabled
No retroactive refunds apply.
9. Account Deletion
Deleting an account:
- Does not automatically cancel subscriptions
- Users must cancel via the App Store/Google Play
- RevenueCat revokes entitlements upon deletion
10. Free Trials
Free trials may be offered.
If you do not cancel before trial ends, you will be charged automatically.
11. VAT, GST, and Taxes
For subscriptions, taxes are automatically calculated and collected by:
- Apple
- RevenueCat (if required)
Motiw8 does not calculate or remit taxes for subscriptions directly.
12. Fraud & Abuse
Motiw8 may revoke premium benefits without refund if:
- User commits fraud
- User violates the Terms & Conditions
- Abuse of refund systems
- Abuse of subscription promotions
13. Amendments
These Terms may be updated to reflect:
- Regulatory requirements
- App Store/Google policy changes
- Feature changes
Updates take effect upon publication in the App Store/Google Play listing.
